Grade 1 Gingerbread Houses

Students in grade 1 invited a special guest to participate in a curriculum sharing event - making a gingerbread house.  Students sang a song and built gingerbread houses out of graham crackers and candy decorations.  The next day, students used a thinking map to organize their ideas and wrote about the steps they took to make their houses.
