7/28 - Thursday - Meet & Greet - Meet your teacher and drop off school supplies anytime from 4-6 pm.
7/28 - Thursday - New Parent Orientation - Cafeteria - 6 pm
8/1 - Monday - Classes Begin for Grades 1-5
8/1 - 5 - Kindergarten Orientation - 7:55 am -12:30 pm
8/2 - Wednesday - School Community Council Meeting - Library - 5 pm
8/3 - Wednesday - Grade 5 Parent Orientation - 5:30 - 7 pm
8/8 - Monday - Kindergarten Parent Orientation - 8:30 -11:00 am

5th Grade Q & A

This morning, counselors from Mililani Middle School spent some time with our 5th graders talking about life at MMS.  Students wrote questions on index cards ahead of time and the counselors gave a short answer for each one. "How many classes do we have?"  "What about recess?"  "What if there's a fight?" 

Mahalo to Mr. Joel Shiroma & Mrs. Tricia Ho for answering these types of questions and giving reassurance to students who might be nervous about going to middle school.  Also, thank you to our own Mr. Brian Matsushige for helping to organize this event.

Student Council Elections

Students in grades 2, 3, & 4 applied what they've learned about government and civics by participating in elections for student council officers.  Candidates spent the past few weeks practicing and preparing for presentations.  Today, they stood on stage in front of their peers and made their case.  Afterwards, students went back to class and cast their votes.  Congratulations to all who participated.

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

Shelving books in the library, supervising children on field trips, helping at the flu shot clinic or planning special events...  Mahalo to all of our volunteers!
